Pivoting Doesn't Mean Starting Over

We often talk about “finding your purpose” like it is one final destination. As if there is a single answer you are meant to uncover and stick with for life.
But the truth is, purpose shifts with us. It grows as we grow.
There are times when the work that once gave you energy begins to feel heavy. The role that once fit like a glove suddenly feels tight and uncomfortable. That is not failure. It is a signal that you have learned what you needed to in that season and you may be ready for something new.
The real wisdom comes in recognizing when it is time to pivot. To take the skills, relationships, and lessons you have gathered and carry them forward into a new space where they can be used in a different way. Pivoting is not starting over. It is building on everything you have already done and choosing to evolve.
Your purpose is not something you discover once and hold on to forever. It is something you return to again and again as life changes and you change with it.
If you feel the nudge to shift directions, it might not be uncertainty. It might be growth inviting you to step into the next chapter. What moments have made you realize it was time to pivot?
Purpose does not end. It evolves.
